Education: Joined the Military Academy on November 13, 1972. His education also includes: Lebanese Baccalaureate II, philosophy
section (1972); Degree in Criminal Science, Psychology, Protection of Minors, Forensic
Medicine and the Regulations of Criminal Trials in France; Certificate in Training
Techniques from the French Police Academy; Certificate from Mason University in Fighting
Information Technology (IT) Crimes.
Languages: Fluent in Arabic, French, English.
Training Courses and Certificates: Attended several training courses in
France and the USA, and participated in a number of conferences on fighting crimes in
Europe and the Arab countries. He also participated in the Conference of Arab Police
Commanders in Tunesia, and the Conferences of Arab Ministers of Interior in Tunesia.
Military Career: Graduated as Lieutenant on August 1, 1975. Pusued
his military career climbing the ladder until he was promoted to Brigadier General on July
1, 2002. Assumed the following posts: Commander of Beirut Police Operations Room,
Commander of the Mina Al Hosn Detachment, Commander of the Hobeish Detachmernt, Chief of
the Gambling Control Office, Chief of Nabatiyeh Detachement, Commander of the Intelligence
Central Squad, Chief of Al Dahiya Brigade, Chief of Jounieh Detachement, Chief of the
Planning and Organization Department, Commander of Beirut's First Judiciary Squad, Chief
of Regional Criminal Investigations' Department, First Assistant to the Chief of
Social Services' Administration.
