& Date of birth: Born in Wadi Shahrour in 1945.
Sect: Maronite.
Marital Status: Married to Maha Lamak with two daughters, Mauriel and
Mary-Noel.
Educational background: Received his elementary, intermediate and
secondary education at the Freres 'Saint Coeur' Institute. Studied law at Saint Joseph
University, then pursued his studies at La Sagesse Higher Law Institute where he
graduated. Attended courses in trade Law at Cambridge University in Britain between 1970
and 1978.
Professional Background: Joined the Beirut Bar Association in 1972 while
an apprentice at the law office of Farid Elias El Khouri. Transferred his registration in
1977 to the practicing lawyers list, then moved to his own law office in 1985. Elected
member of the Beirut Bar Association Council in 1991, 1992, 1999, during which he acted as
raporteur for apprenticing lawyers, practicing lawyers, lawyers' fees law suits, then
Court House commissioner.
Current Status: Elected 43rd Bar Associiation Chief on Sunday, November
16, 2003.
