Place and Date of Birth: Born in Ghazza ( West Biqaa), Lebanon, in 1942; Son of Yussef Morad and Aisha Abu Chahine.
Sect: Sunnite.
Marital status: Married to Mounira Morad with 4 children, Zeinab, Hussein, Hassan and Omar.
Education: Business Administration Diploma (1968), Law Diploma (1974), Beirut Arab University.
Professional Background: Industrialist in the field of woven fabric, owner of carpet and textile factories in Lebanon and Brazil. President of several charity and educational associations.
Political Career: Appoined Deputy in June 7, 1991, elected in 1992, reelected in 1996, and 2000. Minister of Education and Higher Studies in Rafic Hariri's fourth government (October 26, 2000 to April 15, 2003).
Current Political Status: State Minister and Parliament Member.
