Research Interests:
Dr. Badr established the pathophysiologic role of eicosanoids in glomerulonephritis, leading to novel therapies for this disease in humans. He also uncovered endogenous anti-inflammatory properties for arachidonate15-lipoxygenase in renal inflammation, induction of its gene expression by interleukin-13 and by mutant p53, and its potential role in human prostate cancer.
