 Place and Date of Birth: Born in Khiyam, Marjeyoun, in 1964.

Marital status: Married to Dr. Samira
Haidar Saleh with two sons, Hassan and Oussama.
Education: B.A. in Law in 1987 from
the Lebanese University, and B.A. in Technical Electronics
Professional Background: Lawyer.
Political Career: Joined "Amal Movement" and held several
responsibilities; Head of the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Section, Amal Movement. President
of the Lebanese Youth Union. Member of the Board of "Elisar"; Elected Deputy in
1996, reelected in 2000 and in 2005. Member Nabih Berri’s parliamentary bloc.
Appointed Minister of Agriculture in Hariri’s fifth government (April 17, 2003 -
October 26, 2004) .
