in Political Science for post graduate studies at the American University of Beirut
(1976-1986).
Political Background: President of the Arabic Students Organization in
America and Canada. Elected Tyre MP in 1972, 1992, 1996, 2000. Minister of Tourism in
1973, Minister of State for Administrative Reforms (1973-1974), Minister of Finance
(1979-1982), Minister of Finance (1989-1982), Minister of Emigrants (1995-1996).
Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants. Member of the
Resistance and Development Bloc of House Speaker Nabih Berri.
Current Occupation:Parliament Member, Member of the Board of Directors, Bank of
Beirut and Arab Countries.
