Place & Date of Birth: Born in Sidon on October 10, 1939. Son of Ibrahin Azar (lawyer, former MP), and Georgette Boustani.

Marital Status: Married to Diane Boustani, and has one son, Ibrahim.
Educational Background: Bachelor of Laws from Saint Joseph University. He also studied at the Intentional College in Beirut.
Professional background: Lawyer from 1968 – 1981. Vice President of Lebanese Council for South Lebanon 1981 – 1992.
Political Background: Elected MP in 1996, and 2000. Reelected in 2005. Member of speaker Berri's Resistance and Development Bloc. Member of Lebanon's permanent delegation to the International Parliamentary Union (1992-2000). President of Lebanon's Section of  the Francophone Assembly.
Current Political Status: Jezzine MP.
