Educational background: BA in Political Studies and Public Administration from the American University of Beirut (1969), and a degree in Insurance Studies from the London Insurance Institute (1970). Completed his Secondary Education at the Intentaional College in Beirut. Masters three languages: Arabic, French and English.
Professional background: Held since 1970 several administrative positions in the economic field. Established in 1981 Harbor Insurance company. General-Manager of Harbor Insurance company. Member of the board of directors of the BLC (Banque Libanaise pour le commerce). Member of the the Lebanese American University (L.A.U, board of trustees, Member of the World Alliance of Y.M.C.A's (Young Men's Christian Association) - Geneva, Chairman of the League of Y.M.C.A's in the Middle East- Cairo and the secretary general of the Association in Lebanon. Formerly: Founding Member of the Board of Trustees of the N.D.U (Noter Dame University), Member of the Caritas-Lebanon, board of directors, Member of the Central Commission of the Lebanese Red Cross, Member of the General Maronite Council.
Political background: Elected Jbeil Kesrwan MP in 2000 as part of an electoral coalition including Fares Soueid, George Frem, Mansour Ghanem El-Bone, Kamil Ziadeh, Mustapha Husseini and Elias Khazen.
