Educational background: Degree in law from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut.
Professional background: Lawyer at Court of Appeal (1998)
Political background: Elected Kesrouan MP on August 27, 2000, as part of the Popular Decision Bloc, which included him along with MPs Fares Boueiz and Abbas Hashem. Member of the Parliamentry Popular Bloc/Jounieh-Jbeil (three MPs: Fares Boueiz, Abbas Hashem and Farid Khazen). Appointed Minister of Tourism in Omar Karami's government, which was formed on October 26, 2004.
Current Political Status: Minister of Tourism, Kesrouan MP.
