Yaghi.

children, Jassem, Hussein, Nadine, Zeinab and Dana.
Education: Diploma in Engineering
(Mines and Geology) from Zaghreb University, Yugoslavia, in 1963. Higher education in
Petroleum and Geology in Romania.
Professional Background: Worked as engineer at the Litani office (
1994-); Lebanese University professor (1967 1969).
Political Career: Member of the regional leadership of the Bath
party; party member since 1953. Head of the regional leadership of the Bath party
since 1966. Elected deputy in 1996, reelected in 2000. Minister of State in Hariri's fifth
cabinet (April 17, 2003 - October 26, 2004). Minister of Labor in Omar Karami's cabinet
(October 26, 2004 - ). Member of the Bath parliamentary Bloc, which includes Assem
Qanso, Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Rahman and Qassem Hashem.
Current Political Status: Minister of Labor, Biqaa MP.
