Professional Background: Chairman, Libano-Suisse Insurance Company;
member of the board of the LBCI; chairman of the board of MEDNET insurance company;
chairman of the board of Commerce Du Levant economic and social magazine; member of the
board of Pharaon Holding; member of the Greek Catholic Superior Council.
Political background: Elected Beirut MP in 1996, reelected in 2000 and
2005. Member of Saad Hariri's 'Future Movement' parliamentay bloc. Minister of State
in Rafic Hariri’s fourth cabinet (October 26, 2000 to April 15, 2003). Minister of
State for Parliamentay Affirs in Foud Sniora's cabinet (July 19, 2005 - )
