Political Background: Elected Bint Jbeil MP in 1992, 1996, 2000, relected Tyre MP in 2005. Appointed Minister of Energy and Water in Fouad Siniora's cabinet (July 19, 2005 -). Member of Hezbollah's Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc. Member of Hizbollah's Shura Council.
