Married to Abla Fustok with two children, Salim and Joumana. His wife, Abla Fustoq, a Lebanese born in Beirut in 1946, is a holder of a university degree in social Science.
Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering from Lougborough University of Technology (UK). Earlier studies at College Notre Dame - Jamhour.
Business Career: Founder and partner of  Lahoud Engineering Co. Ltd. A group of industrial companies established in 1973, Lahoud Engineering soon became one of the most prominent industrial construction companies in the Middle East. Collaborating with many leading international companies, Lahoud Engineering built a large number of refineries, power plants, water desalination plants, cement factories and other projects in the Arab world. The Company has its headquarters in Beirut, and a number of branches of branches in the Arab world.
Political Background: Lebanese Ambassador to the United States of America 1990-1991. Appointed deputy in June 1,1991. Elected North Metn MP in 1992, reelected in 1996 and 2000. His electoral list for the 2005 northern Metn elections was supported by Qornet Shehwan Gathering, the Democratic Renewal Movement and the Lebanese Forces. But he surprisingly lost in the face of an unlikely alliance between Metn MP Michel Murr and the Leader of the Free Patriotic Movement General Michel Aoun.
Political Status: Founding member and President of the Democratic Renewal Movement (formed in 2001). Member of the Qornet Shehwan Gathering. Former North Metn MP.
Political Stand: A presidential aspirant, Nassib Lahoud took a moderate stance with regard to the Syrian political and military presence in Lebanon, and considered that the Taif agreement could have been used as a starting point for correcting the Lebanese-Syrian relations for the mutual benefit of both countries.
