| Qatar and Lebanon sign
four agreements DOHA - Qatar and Lebanon yesterday signed four co-operation agreements. The first agreement provides for setting up a high committee to develop relations between the two countries. On the Qatari side, the agreement was signed by the Second Deputy Premier and Energy and Industry Minister H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, while on Lebanese side it was signed by Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Al Siniora. The second agreement deals with the avoidance of dual taxation and tax evation and matters connected with income tax and capitals. The agreement was signed by Minister of Finance H E Yousuf Hussein Kamal and Lebanese Minister of Finance Jahad Azour. The third agreement deals with the first executive programme for educational and scientific agreement. It was signed by Minister of Education H E Sheikha Al Mahmoud, and Lebanese Minister of Education Dr Khalid Ghabani. The fourth agreement deals with co-operation between the two countries in youth sphere. It was signed by the secretary general of the General Authority for Youth Nasser bin Mubarak Al Ali, and Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sport Dr Ahmed Fitfit. After signing the agreements Lebanese Premier Fouad Siniora expressed great gratitude to the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for the continued support to Lebanon. Siniora said the purpose of his visit to Qatar at the head of a high level delegation, including ministers, was to follow up a number of issues which were discussed during his visit to Qatar last month.
