Leading figure of Lebanese majority movement found shot dead

BEIRUT -- A leading figure in Mustaqbal movement was found shot dead this morning at Future TV transmission station in east Lebanon Bekaa valley, National News Agency (NNA) reported Wednesday.

Mustaqbal movement is headed by majority leader Saad Hariri, who also owns Future TV station.

Saad is the son of assassinated former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, who was killed in a car bomb in Beirut in 2005.

Two bullets have riddled the body of Rokan Madarani, who works at the transmission station of Future TV in Dalhamie, east of Zahli town in the Bekaa area.

The security forces and forensic doctors arrived at the scene to collect information about the incident.

Last week, a Middle East Airline (MEA) pilot was found shot dead in his car on the airport road in Beirut southern suburbs.
