| Solana sees
"sinister agenda" behind Beirut blast
BRUSSELS - EU High Representative for the Common
Foreign and Security policy, Javier Solana, condemned Friday morning's car bomb attack in
Beirut which killed at least five people.
"Yet again I express my utter condemnation at the continuing wave of bomb attacks in
Beirut," said the EU foreign policy chief in a statement.
It is clear , he noted, that the "main intention behind these attacks is to foment
instability." "As attempts to foster dialogue continue in good faith, others
exert efforts to pursue a sinister agenda," said Solana.
He added that we must continue to support those who genuinely seek peace and to
"denounce the perpetrators of these heinous acts." Agencies |
