| Hand grenades found in
south Lebanon SIDON, Lebanon - Lebanese police on Wednesday found two hand grenades deserted in the southern port city of Sidon. A police source was quoted as saying that the safety pins of the two grenades had been removed and the triggers were glued to the body of the explosive sets. "Had any one tried to remove the glue, the grenades would have exploded," he explained. A police sapper defused the two grenades which had caused panic in Sidon, the source added. Police have recently found several explosive charges scattered in the country. No blasts have been reported. |
