United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan voiced concern Monday about Israeli overflights into Lebanese airspace.

Annan reiterated his call on the Israeli authorities to end the overflights, a UN spokesman said in a statement, reminding the parties of the fragile situation in Lebanon and the wider region.

"He urges all parties to fully respect the Blue Line and reminds them that one violation of the Blue Line cannot justify another," the statement said, referring to the line marking the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its northern neighbour. UPI)
